Avenue B may be adding some other gigs this summer and will post them as they obtain them.  The group will be having guest players off and on all summer long.

Avenue B does hire out and play for special events in the summer and over the Christmas break.  If you are interested in hiring our group, please call coordinator's Jack Roben at 206-437-9345 or Peter Bennett at 425-299-1340.  Hiring the band is great since the event gets to have some fantastic music and the pay helps the group all have a little extra money to stay in their colleges.

Members of Avenue B Jazz-- Where were they during the 2014/2015 school year?

Miles Laven - Drummer.   For the 2014-2015 School Year he returned to the famous Manhattan School of Music in Manhattan New York, where he continues to study Jazz Performance.  Over his 2d year, Miles learned a more about the Jazz Scene in New York City along with adding more to his jazz repertoire.

Jack Roben -- Guitar.  For the 2014-2015 school year Jack returned to the prestigious University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, where he is continues to study Jazz Performance.  Over the year Jack learned a lot about the studying and playing the jazz guitar and added new dimensions to his playing.

Max Bennett - Tenor Saxophone.  For the 2014/2015 school year he returned to Whitworth University in Spokane Washington, where he continues to study Music (Jazz) and Education.  Over the year Max learned a lot about how to improve his technique and about the educational aspects of teaching music.  A highlight was Max got to play with famous jazz trumpet player, Arturo Sandoval in November of 2014 in Spokane with the rest of the Whitworth Band.
